Bloody history of the Little Rockies gang era in Blaine County
The narrative recounts 19th and early 20th century crime in Montana's Little Rockies. It notes mining camps at Sandusky and Zortman, the Curry gang's terror, the Sandusky murder of Pike Sandusky, clashes around Winters and Gill, and the mysterious disappearance of Gill after leaving the Coburn ranch with Roosevelt-linked interest. The piece blends legend with violent frontier lore and includes anecdotes of gunfights, ambushes, and daring escapes.
