State auditor George P. Potter reports 1927 receipts for the Montana insurance department total 326606 25 with 286431 48 to the general fund and 652? million in fire insurance premiums. Fire losses for 1927 reached 43.4 percent of premiums, compared with 41.5 percent in 1926. Life insurance in force on December 31, 1927 stood at 317644.22.
