Sportsmen Seek 1940-41 Rules Return in Beaverhead
Beaverhead Sportsmen's Association asked the State Fish and Game Commission to revert to the 1940-41 season regulations. They argued trout would be hooked on whitefish gear, risking fish damage and infection from handling, and urged keeping the 1940-41 rules for 1942-43. They cited winter bait fishermen and irrigation ditch losses as reasons to preserve conservation measures and current season limits.
