Dell Institute March 30 School program agenda

The Dell Institute hosts a March 30 program at School House starting 1:30 p.m. with opening remarks by H. C. Patterson of Dell. Burden and Leach Lease Dillon Steam Laundry

Charles Burden and Otto Leach have leased the Dillon Steam Laundry from Joseph Wikidal for a term of years and will take possession next month. Burden formerly ran the carpet department at KHe Bros and Leach has long led steam laundry work in several cities, with Wikidal yet to decide on his plans.

Fire narrowly averted at Bannack Street saloon

A late night blaze was stopped when Charles Perry spotted smoke in the Dart Hardware area reflection in a bar mirror. Firefighters and bystanders extinguished flames from boxes and trash behind the store. The fire, likely started by a discarded cigarette stump, caused no damage. The alley was cleaned and waste cleared to prevent recurrence.
