Plan to Move the Fair Track Near Dillon

Dillon Fair and Racing association directors favor relocating the track closer to town by selling the 60 acre old grounds and buying about 40 acres for a half mile track. Committees to locate sites and manage old grounds. county fair commission approved $1000 for expenses and aims for a September county fair near Dillon with added uses like a ball park and city park.

Estimable Lady Emma A Comstock Dies After Brief Illness

Emma A. Comstock wife of William H. Comstock died at 11 30 p m Wednesday after a three day pneumonia illness. Her son Donald D Comstock from Minneapolis will return the body there for burial beside an elder son. Funeral held Monday at the family home with Rev S D Hooker presiding. Emma born 1842 near Rochester New York lived in Lansing and Minneapolis before moving to Dillon ten years ago. She was a devoted St James church member and a Mothers Club meeting is planned next Tuesday with lectures and discussions.

Vogler Plans Utah Nevada Auto Transportation Line

F W Vogler the Bedrock stage man returns from Nevada with plans for a new Utah Nevada Auto Transportation Co. five 16 horsepower cars from St Louis Motor Car Co. to operate Tonopah to Goldfields and branch lines. George R Metlen joins Vogler. operation expected by April first to serve the spring rush. Vogler and Metlen to depart for field prep next Monday.

A party of Oregon Short Line officials led by General Superintendent Buckingham will visit Dillon soon to decide the site for a new depot and to hear local business and shipping views.
