New Grasshopper Road Project Confirmed For Summer
Lewis Chittem of the State Highway Department confirmed plans to build and surface the Dillon Jackson highway this summer with an April or May letting. The route will run from the oil area near Badger pass to Bannack to avoid steep Taylor Creek grades, and will not extend to Harrison Lane on Grasshopper this year. Right of way easements are being acquired.

Girl Scout Council Plans Several Key Events
The Girl Scout Council outlined a busy schedule last Tuesday. Girl Scout Week runs March 11 to 17 with a cookie sale concurrent with other activities. On March 17 all scouts attend church in groups, uniformed. Catholic girls at 10 a.m. Protestant girls at 11 a.m. Court of Awards for proficiency badges is set for March 29. A food sale is planned for April 6 at Roberts Market. Herman and Aileen Peterson donate a buffalo meat which Roberts Market will freeze and auction in early April.

IFYE Delegate From Montana Joins Ireland Exchange
Juanita Noel of Silesia Carbon County Montana was an International Farm Youth Exchange delegate to Ireland in the summer of 1956. She is one of 24 Montana youths in the program sponsored by the National 4-H Foundation and USDA Land Grant colleges. The IFYE is a two way exchange with US farm youth living and working abroad.
