Remains of Byron Hand Discovered

Police detain Jose Coux and Fernando Mernaz after a reported cabin break in on South Pacific street. Prohibition Raid Hits Dillon Eight Bottlers Detained
Federal agents led by Sam Roberts raid eight Dillon soft drink shops on a Wednesday afternoon. Wise River Rancher Kills Large Mountain Lion Near Wise River
J W Potts a Wise River rancher brought the hide of one of the largest mountain lions killed in the area to Dillon last Friday. The nine and a half foot beast attacked Potts' dogs while devouring a deer carcass. Potts shot and stopped the animal. The report notes Potts’ reputation as a mountain lion hunter.

The Montana division of publicity ranks Beaverhead and Yellowstone as the top livestock counties in 1927 with incomes over 3 million dollars each. Beaverhead revenue reached 3,429,600. Narrow escape as car plunges into canal near Normal college
A Chevrolet coupe crashed through a bridge abutment and into the Union irrigation canal near Normal college last Wednesday. J L Stewart and Louise Ulred were pulled from the water by volunteers and taken to Barrett hospital with no serious injuries. Stewart was arrested for reckless driving amid witness claims the vehicle was speeding and under liquor influence.
