Peace Pipe Ceremony at Normal College Ends War Lip Service
Commencement week closes with a student led Peace Pipe ceremony on the Normal campus where Beavers and Coyotes, in native dress, perform dances and speeches to bury the hatchet. Chief Craver and Miss Minnie Sinclair represent seniors and juniors as Laura Simmons receives the pipe. A class night follows with parodies, a mock composite portrait, and a campus song reflecting nostalgia and class spirit.
