Montana Pipeline Rates Set at 32 1 4 Cents a Barrel
The Montana public utilities commission ordered a uniform rate of 32 1 4 cents per barrel for gathering transporting and loading crude oil from Cat Creek field to Winnett. Elk Basin Consolidated Petroleum had proposed 15 cents while Montana Independent Pipe Line asked 32 1 4 cents repeating that both firms must charge the same rate under the new rule. The commission noted insufficient evidence to fix a final rate and required a five day waiting period for loading facilities and storage at Winnett.
