Montana National Guard Reorganization Delayed by Funds
Montana Adjutant General Charles L. Sheridan says lack of funds is delaying the reorganization of the Montana National Guard. Only enough money remains to finish this fiscal year, hindering plans to form 15 new companies, with Great Falls and Helena targets. Sidney already has a 68 member unit rated highly by federal inspectors. The reorganization will preserve the 163d infantry designation and place Montana in the Ninth corps area.
