The origin remains undetermined, with a theory blaming a cigarette dropped by a traveling box tar worker frequenting the abandoned building.
Memoriam Dillon’s Grand Old Man Passes in Beaverhead
Pioneer Dillon founder and Beaverhead County leader Craig Cornell died granting the community a model ranch and civic spirit. He witnessed Dillon’s birth from his doorstep, helped shape Montana’s livestock county, and remained a devoted supporter of a “better Dillon” until his passing.

Former Lima Doctor Dr Lawrence R Fox Dies in St Joseph Mo
According to the Times from McCamnal ville Ohio Dr Lawrence R Fox a former Lima resident died in late May at St Joseph Missouri after a pneumonia attack. He was known in southern Lima County for years of medical practice and had been practicing his profession prior to death. Interment occurred in St Joseph.

Emerson Hughes Goes To Harlem To Recover Ship
Emerson Hughes, Dillon air pilot, left early this week for Harlem to salvage parts of his Waco plane burned there this spring. He believes the engine and most of the fuselage are undamaged and will be repaired, with parts transported back by truck to Dillon.
