Dillon Keeps Independent Title Hopes Alive at Anaconda
Dillon won both games against Anaconda last weekend to extend their lead in the state independent championship. Pitching by manager Barry in relief and strong field play carried Dillon to 6 2 and 16 2 wins as LaCroix remained sidelined with a bad ankle. Next Sunday Dillon meets the Butte Reduction Works in a decisive series that could crown the champion. If LaCroix is still out, Steltz or a Northwestern league pitcher may start for Dillon in Butte. An excursion from Dillon to the game is expected if transportation can be arranged.
