Tommy Haw a noted Beaverhead County resident died Friday at 5 30 p m in Kunzman Block apartments from stomach trouble. Born in China he came west after 1849 and worked as a cook before helping lead cattle drives into Montana in 1866. He later partnered in sheep and mining ventures including Slack ranch and Copper Queen mine. Funeral Sunday at Brundage parlors with burial at Poindexter cemetery. pallbearers were lifelong friends.

Hortense Marie Paul and John Anthony Nolan married today at the Catholic church in Dillon. The ceremony featured Lohengrin’s march, white floral decor, and a reception at the Paul residence on Pacific street with a four course breakfast and twenty six place cards. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Goodwin T. Paul, is a Dillon native and Montana State Normal College alumna. the groom is a Chicago salesman with Montana ties. They plan a Chicago home after a lakes honeymoon and September fifteenth arrival date.
