Boy and snake length tale from Sheep Canyon
Three Conover brothers, Dale over four feet tall and Johnnie and another, found a large rattlesnake two miles from Sheep Canyon. Draft Evader Nabbed After Nazi Boasting Here
Howard Davis 35 born in Saratoga Wyoming of Scotch Irish descent was arrested last Wednesday by Sheriff Paul Temple and Under Sheriff Russell Smith after bragging of draft evasion. He admitted ignoring the Denver draft board order due for induction in June 1941 and was later turned over to U S Marshal Eller of Billings for custody. Davis learned the hard lesson that Uncle Sam does not overlook defiance as federal authorities moved to file charges.

Simplified Routing of Mail to Prisoners of War
The 18th Naval District in Seattle announced streamlined plans for routing mail to prisoners of war and civil internees in the Far East. The Universal Postal Union has organized a service between Basle and Tokyo via Istanbul, Tiflis, and Siberia with points in Japan, Korea, Formosa, Sakhalin, Kwantung, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.
