Beaverhead County commissioners awarded the county physician contract to Dr W H Stephan after opening bids at 2:00 p m on July 7 1948. The agreement runs one year from July 7 1948 with a 2000 annual payment and county authorization required for hospitalizations and drugs.
Session of the county canvassers on Friday July 23 1948 at noon with Commissioners Parke T Scott Paul Stahl Jr and Margaret The official canvass of votes from the July 20 1948 primary nominating election was completed listing offices voted on including United States Senator Governor Lieutenant Governor and others. Three official canvass statements were produced one sent to the secretary of State and two filed with the county clerk. The board adjourned July 23 1946 at 5 00 p m.
Beaverhead County Montana Board of Equalization met July 19 1948 at 10 a m. Present were Commissioners Hirschy Scott Stahl and Clerk Thompson. No petitions for reductions were on file but petitions will be received and filed until August 4 1948 for consideration before the tax levy. The clerk was ordered to recess daily until August 4 1948 for the final session.
