Billy Steck Violinist To Give Recital
Billy Steck a 16 year old violinist from Philadelphia will be presented in recital at the college auditorium tomorrow night at 8 p m. He has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra and studied at Berkshire Music Center under Dr Serge Koussevitsky who gave special scholarship approval. Steck won a merit award at the University of Pennsylvania Cultural Olympics and now holds an RCA Victor sponsored scholarship. Western Montana College of Education sponsors the recital for summer school students and area residents are invited.

State Draft To Take 74 Boys To Army
Montana expects 74 draftees from a national pool of 20 000 with about 300 local 19 to 25 year olds to be examined. Inductees face 14 weeks of training at Fort Dix Fort Knox Fort Riley and Fort Ord with a week of furlough after training before US posts or overseas duty. Doctor Returns From Medical Meet at Frisco
Dr and Mrs Harve Stanchfield returned last Thursday from a trip that included the American Medical Association convention in San Francisco and the Montana Medical Association meeting in Bozeman. The visit featured a symposium on new medicines for arthritis and a televised trainee technique for student surgeons. Montana Voters To Receive Special Measures Ballot Forms
Montana secretary of state plans mailed forms to voters describing three constitutional amendments an initiative and a referendum. County clerks will get 284000 copies of each measure by August 7 and mail one set to every registered voter. The referendum seeks to legalize slot machines if approved by voters and proclamation by Gov. Bonner follows. The initiative proposes a World War II servicemen honorarium payment. The constitutional amendments propose a separate labor department and debt limit changes for counties and school districts.

Girl Scout Camp To Open July 31
Plans were completed for a five day Girl Scout day camp to run from July 31 to August 4 on the college campus. The organizer and leaders gathered Tuesday at Mrs. Ralph McFadden's home.
