A Danish gym team drew a capacity crowd at the Normal College gymnasium in Dillon for their Montana debut. Asta Noehr Hansen, 19, of Raaby ville Denmark, slipped entering the dressing room and sustained a slight concussion. she received medical attention from Dr. W H and other staff. Warren Stone Jr of the city police will attend a state FBI law enforcement school in Bozeman July 28 through Aug with officials from across the state.

Forest Supervisor W. W. Wetzel reports five fires this season none serious, all under one acre. Fire events included three in District 4 at Jackson on July 8, a Elkhorn snag fire on the Fourth of July, Wise River in April, and a July 14 report for Goris Gulch in Wisdom. Late summer usually sees peak fires, but wet weather reduced risk. Beaverhead forest supplies mules from Missoula remount station for remote work and stock grazing checks are underway in Spud mountain range.

A party of 135 students and townspeople from Montana State Normal College visited Virginia City and Twin Bridges last Saturday in 25 cars. Led by Pres. Fire at Husky service station causes little damage
The Dillon volunteer fire department put out a small blaze at the Husky service station last night around 7 30. A group of boys allegedly tossed a lighted match into an oil barrel at the rear, causing the oil to flare up but the damage remained minor and would have been worse if it had spread.
