Prospectors Return From South Fork Report Large Copper Vein

Flathead county prospector Eugene Despin and John H. Foy praise a newly found vein on the east side of the South Fork about five miles up from Felix creek. The 80 foot wide outcrop runs for miles with rich surface ore likely carrying copper gold and silver values. A 40 to 50 foot development could open a heavy pay streak. Other reports cite 60 percent copper in Harris mine ore and 200 workers in Felix basin as exploration expands toward a railroad and smelters.
