A cloud burst over McCarthy mountain swept a twenty mile area, lifting the Beehrer cabin from its foundations and carrying it miles away. Mrs Emily Beehrer died inside the home while Charles Beehrer survived. The flood uprooted trees and wrecked hay fields on multiple ranches, with extensive damage across the Big Hole river region. Funeral services were held for Mrs Beehrer in Reichle.

Mrs Henry Gleed Jr of Laketown Idaho and Dell native died at home from heart failure last Wednesday morning at age 28. She is survived by husband Henry Gleed Jr and their two year old son. Dillon Woman Succumbs in Butte After Surgery
Mrs. Samuel Clinton of Dillon died after an appendectomy at Murray's hospital in Butte on Sunday morning. She was brought to Butte a week earlier and was interred in Whitehall. Survived by her husband and two young children, with relatives in Whitehall. Clinton had moved from Whitehall to Dillon last February to run the Dillon Cash Grocery.

Deaf Mutes Arrested For Feigned Disability Scheme
Two young men about 19 and 20 were arrested on a charge of feigning deafness and blindness to gain public sympathy. Seen talking together in a Silver Bow restaurant, one explained via paper that he was made deaf after the San Francisco earthquake. Tests failed to reveal speech or hearing, and after a gunshot jar they fled Dillon.

Last of Wool Sold in Southern Montana Season
W J Cornell and the Sweeney brothers sold their wool clips to J R Edgehill of Boston marking the final consignments in Madison Beaverhead counties for the season. Edgehill’s closing purchases total about 150 000 pounds from Valley Garden Carlson Jeffers and others plus 500 000 pounds from Crowell and Sweeney. Holpehill contracted 1 500 000 to 2 000 000 pounds this year despite an early close as buyers stayed active since January. The last consignments ship Saturday and Edgehill plans to return to Boston later this week.
