Twenty five youngsters performed concerts in white uniforms, under Waller Shobe, superintendent of schools, who organized the juvenile band and impressed locals with their professional conduct.

Bill for inspection of horse meat clears Congress
Jr. W. J. Butler, state veterinarian, reports an amendment to the agricultural appropriation bill authorizing funds for horse meat inspection has passed. Dillon Beats Jackson In July Baseball Showdown

Death of River Road Resident Eugene White at 72
Eugene White, 72, of the river road area, died last Monday while being transported from his cabin to the county hospital for treatment. A resident for twenty years, he had long suffered illness. Funeral services were held yesterday at Brundage Funeral Establishment with interment in Mountain View Cemetery.
