Local social notes and church revival announced in Dillon
Last Monday Mr and Mrs Chris Bay celebrated a wedding anniversary with friends while a pinochle session and an upcoming Methodist Aid picnic were held at the Selway ranch. Alumni of Montana State Normal College attended a reunion at Mrs Walter Stamm’s. Local church hosts two Harvester class graduates from Los Angeles and a revival led by Mrs Farrington and Mrs Martin with Rev J Wankervis assisting through July. The Foursquare church seeks to bless the community as revival events unfold with Salvation Baptism Holy Spirit Divine Healing and the Coming King messages. Dr H H Scarborough will be at the Andrus Hotel July 9 and 10. The Examiner remains Dillon’s county newspaper.

After a three month campaign in the Blacktail and Ruby districts, 7000 trees were treated and about 100000 acres covered. The pine beetle control crews are demobilizing as equipment moves to Dillon and Sheridan for storage. Assistant Supervisor F. T. Carroll led the effort, with officials reporting near extermination of the infestation.
