Dillon club boosts cemetery project funds and progress
The Dillon Business and Professional Women's club reports 1471.11 deposited in the cemetery improvement fund at First National Bank and State Bank & Trust, leaving 928.89 to reach 2400. Steel pipe was laid 962 feet with another same amount planned next month. A pump house, entrance, and concrete reservoir are planned with WPA financing and frost-free spring work ahead.

Lima man found dead near cabin after probable heart attack
Joe Johnson 80 a Lima area resident was found dead about a hundred yards from his cabin east of Lima last Thursday. Investigators cited possible heart attack or exposure, likely a combination, with death believed to have occurred the prior Tuesday. Bill Gray found the body while riding along the road.

WPA to Serve Hot School Lunches in District 10
A wire from Sen. B. K. Wheeler says the WPA approved a $1784 allotment to prepare and serve hot lunches in Dillon District No. 10 public schools. The meals will be free for needy or undernourished children, with operation at the discretion of state WPA administrator Joseph E. Parker.

Beaverhead rancher George A Whitworth dies in Portland
George A Whitworth prominent Beaverhead county stockman died Monday night in a Portland hospital after ten days of treatment. Born February 18 1866 in Salt Lake City he moved to Beaverhead in 1886 and built a large Sheep Creek outfit with ranches in Beaverhead valley and Madison county. He was a member of Evergreen lodge Lima Dillon chapter and St Elmo Commandery in the Masonic orders.

Mrs Jack Barrett 64 well known farmer and Dillon matron died Thursday morning at her Los Angeles home. Daughters Mrs Justin Brundage and Mrs W D Ross left for LA. Former Dillon Youth Writer Gains East Fame

W. G. Gilbert was chosen president of the Montana Wool Growers Association at the thirty-eighth annual convention in Butte. He becomes leader again, succeeding T. O. Williams Osteopathic Physician Dies After Illness
Dr. L. F. Williams, a prominent young Dillon osteopathic physician, died shortly before midnight Wednesday at Barrett hospital after about 10 days of illness. An appendicitis operation was performed prior to his death.

Three Held on Burglary Count Here
Two men and a woman, Geraldine Hecox, Dale A. Rumbaugh, and Carl H. Rumbaugh, are jailed in Beaverhead County on burglary charges for a Lima club break in last Wednesday morning. They pleaded not guilty in Judge Louis Stahl's court with bonds set at 2000 each. Police traced them to Dillon after Three Forks arrests and tire marks matched the Rumbaugh car. Investigators linked them to a recent $150 fur theft from Dillon Hide and Fur, with prior records noted for Dale and Carl Rumbaugh.
