Unknown Man Found Dead Near Dillon Rail Line
Last Friday morning a man was found dead beside the rails near the river north of Dillon. An unknown man about five foot nine, 140 pounds, dark brown hair, well dressed, was killed by a Short Line train. The inquest blamed the accident on being struck by the train with no identified suspect or motive. A heart ring and minor personal items were found on the body. The body was taken to E. H. Brundage's undertaking parlors in Dillon.

Fatal trench collapse claims young Roy Gilman in Dillon
Roy Gilman 17, a Dart Hardware plumber from Leavenworth Kansas, died after a trench at the Henry Burfield residence in Idaho street collapsed. He was entombed about three quarters of an hour before discovery. suffocation is listed as the cause. The accident occurred shortly before 3 PM and his body was transported to Leavenworth for burial.
