Ed A Lawrence, 22, arrived in town for a wedding with Nora Baker, 16. At Baker home on Kentucky Avenue, he was shot by prospective father in law Fred Baker during a dispute over a coat and wedding. Lawrence died that night. Baker claims self defense amid differing accounts.
