Tragedy near Cascade claims two youths in crash
Glenn Shelton 23 known as Glenn Hocking of Butte and Argie Ferron 23 of Cut Bank died when Shelton’s car struck the rear of a parked Inter mountain bus near Cascade early Sunday. Shelton, Beaverhead county high school alumnus class of 1936, was active in athletics and forensics and served as business manager of the Beaver weekly. The accident report cites Morris Hoyle of Butte, bus driver, as providing statements to Deputy Sheriff Jewett Grubb.

Unemployment Chief Speaks at Dillon Rotary Dinner
Barclay Craighead head of the Montana unemployment office at Helena spoke on the state unemployment compensation act at the Dillon Rotary Club dinner. He noted the unemployment agency has the third largest Montana payroll, used about $5,000 monthly in Beaverhead county, and lists 10 500 employee accounts.
