Joe Gosman and Vince Schmittroth led doubles, Lasich and Hilger placed second in doubles, Reed second in singles, George Gosman fourth in singles, and Gosman led all events as tourney continues next Sunday with seven more Dillon teams.

Beavers edged W M C E junior varsity 58 to 54 in overtime to raise funds for polio. Ed Davis led Beavers with 17 points while Trask scored 12 for the Bullpups. Prior wins included Bagley Boys over Virginia City 52-26 and Virginia City over Bagley Cougars 34-31. Beavers depart Feb 9 for three game Eastern swing. WW-2 Memorial Drive Under Way in Beaverhead County
The drive for funds to erect a World War II memorial to the county’s honored leader is progressing. A bronze plaque on native stone has been chosen. Prizes will be shown in Eliel’s window this Thursday in February.

The Beaverhead Sportsmen Association met at City Hall on February 4 with Pres. Eddie Hilger leading. They adopted recommendations for the State Fish and Game Commission including fishing date openings for 1950 and seasonal closures on Sheep Creek Bloody Dick Big Hole river and Lima dam area, reopening December 1950 to March 1951. Dillon City Council approves uniform garbage rate and bonds
