Beaverhead high Beavers defeated Three Forks 38 to 24 at the Normal gym in a key Class B contest. Girls Band Formed at Beaverhead County High School
An all girls orchestra organized by director L A Gregory at Beaverhead County High School will debut at the Mothers Daughters party on March 21. The group lacks two trombone players and one tuba player to complete the all girls band. Members include Giovannina Cardinale on piano and Ruth Jackson on cello among others with roles across violin, clarinet, flute, oboe, drums and more.

Maynard Sentenced to Three Years for Assault
W F Maynard pleaded guilty to second degree assault in district court and was sentenced to three years in state prison. He fired several shots from a rifle at P W Lyons in Lyons Lima business district last week. Mrs Lillian Wahling of Dillon died after a long illness at her home in Dillon. She was born in Germany on Feb 4, 1864 and came to the United States 52 years ago. She resided in Dillon since 1912 and is survived by a son John Wahling of Pittsburg and two daughters Mrs Jack Moore and Mrs Clayton Howell along with several nieces and nephews.

Edgar A. Sanders, 82, longtime Birch Creek resident, was found dead on a road near Pete Swetich ranch last Wednesday, apparently from a heart attack. Coroner James E. Phillips said no inquest. Surviving: three sons Milo, Jerry, Melian. two daughters Florence and Alice. brother George H. Sanders.
