The community learned Saturday of the death of Mrs Margaret H Edie pioneer matron at her South dado street home after a paralytic stroke suffered last Monday. She had been in failing health for years and funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the family home with ministers B J Groeneveld and Ernest Loft officiating.

Dies Instantly Edward C Krantz Fireman Killed In Yard Crash
Edward C. Krantz aged 34, a fireman on Oregon Short Line, died instantly when he fell in front of a locomotive in the Lima yard about 6:80 this morning. No witnesses saw the accident. railroad men say he was riding the front of the locomotive. The engineer noticed Krantz’s hat on the tracks and then found the fireman beside the engine. W P Millicam was sentenced to 90 days in the county jail after pleading guilty to assaulting City Officer Charles Bourquin in Hogan's alley. Bourquin and Warren Putherland overpowered Millicam following a stove poker blow to the head in the early hours.
