In Lima amid Christmas and New Year festivities Mr and Mrs James Medis arrive from Laramie to stay months while he begins work with Kerr McGhee near Lima after earning a petroleum engineering degree. Numerous relatives travel and host across Lima and nearby towns as families exchange visits and celebrate the holidays.
Everett and others were callers at Nor man and Foster homes Friday morning. Bob Sawyer returned from Camp San Luis Obispo on furlough to visit his parents in Lima, leaving December 28 for camp. Dozens of relatives and friends shared Christmas dinners and visits across Lima, Dell, Centennial valley, and nearby towns, with notable guests including Miss Norma Freeman of Idaho Falls, Mrs. Allan Stoddard, and the Merrell and Rose families.
Notices cover two probates for Alice Stofflet and John Sullivan with dates for wills and letters testamentary. A naturalization calendar lists hearing dates in Beaverhead Jefferson Madison counties and transfers Madison matters to Jefferson. Also a public summons in Hermann et al to quiet title over Beaverhead lands with multiple sections and exceptions.
Families from Idaho Falls and nearby towns kept holiday plans, with many travelers visiting relatives in Lima Dell Bountiful and Butte. The district held a primary Christmas program on December 2 featuring all children, Santa Claus visiting, and St Rose guild of Lima hosting a Christmas party with presents and luncheon.
Judson Stahl, Army Warrant Officer junior grade, recently arrived in Japan for reassignment after 11 months in Korea. He serves as a bakery officer in the quartermaster section at Camp Kokura and previously belonged to the 59th ordinance group in the combat zone. He has lived with his wife Dorothy and son Jud in Dillon.
Pfc John R. Burt, son of Mrs Mildren C Burt, serves with the first cavalry division on Hokkaido Japan. The unit, after 17 months in Korea, is giving intensive field training to new replacements. Burt joined the army in June 1951 after working for Union Pacific on the Idaho Montana division.
The American Legion auxiliary will meet Monday January 5 at 8 p m at the home of Mrs. Harry Lapham 616 South California Street.
Janet Henneberry a University of Minnesota student spends holidays with her parents Mr and Mrs Dan Henneberry and assists with some work at the Examiner plant during her visit.
District Court in Montana announces to creditors and claimants of Charles M Jones deceased to present vouchers within ten months. Administrators Walter F Jones and Walter I Sperry set Dillon offices as the place to file claims under Montana law. Dated December 3 1952 with publications December 10 17 24.
