Melbourne Jackson of Dillon will receive the Eagle Scout rank at a court of honor held at the high school gymnasium tomorrow night. He is the third Dillon Scout to gain the distinction, joining Wilbur Gilbert Jr. and Fielding Graves. Attorney Earle Genzberger will speak, with Scout Executive Paul N. Campbell also addressing. Chair W. W. Wahl will preside. A boys orchestra directed by L. A. Gregory will play several selections as merit badges are awarded.

Final drive in sale of seals at county Christmas push

Lima Pioneer Delia McGee Dies at Home
Mrs. Delia McGee longtime Lima district pioneer matron died at her Lima home after a long illness. Born in London England eighty two years ago she came to America as a child and settled in Lima in 1886 later residing on a local ranch. Her death grieves many in the southern county where she lived nearly half a century.

Beaverhead county reports a renewed gold rush after ore from a property owned by Charles and Boyd Quick and El mer Devaney near Ermont assayed $25 per ton. Prospectors flocked to the scene near the Ermont mine discovered in 1927 by D. W. Erwin and W. J. Corbett, now a commercial grade deposit owned by two.

Miss Blegan Leaves for Wisconsin for Master’s Degree
Miss Constance Blegan an instructor in physical education for women at Montana State Normal College received a several months leave of absence and left at autumn quarter’s end for the University of Wisconsin to pursue her master's degree. Icy Highway Wreck Injures Dillon Men
A. I. Cashmore suffers six broken ribs, back sprain, and other injuries after a car skidded on an icy road near Rocker, crashing into a bridge and light post. Driver A. F. Waldorf and passenger C. E. Blinn escape with minor injuries. Cashmore is hospitalized in Murray, Butte, after the crash as they traveled from Dillon to Butte for a formal appearance.

Ted Renfro of the Dillon Gun club won the Montana state flyer championship in a Sheridan Gun club hosted event at Sheridan. He tied with Schulz and Leary in the regular event, won the shoot-off with 21 of 26 five birds, and received a medal.

Prisoners Arraigned In Court
Three prisoners faced arraignment in district court before Judge Lyman H. Bennett. Owen Wunsaker pleaded not guilty to burglary at the Monida pool hall and requested counsel. J B Henderson and W J White entered not guilty pleas to forgery and asked for attorneys. A Dugay pleaded not guilty in Judge Opps court to a charge of damaging a car owned by C H Kendall and was released on fifty dollar bond. Glenn Ollie was arraigned in justice court on forging his father’s name to a check and pleaded not guilty.
