Aged Matron Margaret Shackleton Dies in Dillon

Mrs. Margaret J. Shackleton a long time Dillon resident died Friday at her home after a year of ill health and a recent paralytic stroke. The funeral was Sunday at the Methodist Episcopal Church with Rev. Howard B. Ricketts officiating and interment in Mountain View Cemetery. Born September 11 1838 in Hungerford Lake Ontario she lived in the community many years and was greatly esteemed. Surviving are Mrs. Decker of Grampton and others in the vicinity.

Juror List Prepared for Regular District Court Term

The jurors for the regular district court term opening Wednesday January 4 have been drawn and notified to appear. The term lasts until January 24 with 12 cases set for trial: two criminal actions and ten civil suits.

Dillon Churches Plan Week of Christmas Programs

All of Dillon's churches schedule Christmas programs this week and next Sunday. The Methodist Sunday School features songs, recitations, a cantata, and a pageant. The Presbyterian and Methodist families invite all to Christmas morning worship with carols and a sermon on The Advent of Christ.
