John Scott, a well known transfer man in Dillon, died Monday morning at his home from influenza complications after being ill less than a week. He was 52, born in Pennsylvania, survived by a wife and three children, plus a brother and a sister. Funeral service was held yesterday afternoon at Brundage parlors with Rev. Humphrey. burial in Mountain View cemetery.

Twin Bridges Fire Destroys Newspaper Plant and Adjacent Buildings
Fire in Twin Bridges yesterday destroyed the Amarine restaurant and the Madison County Monitor office, along with an adjoining vacant building. Four Gould properties were damaged, including the First National bank building and a grocery store. Attorney James T.
