Beaverhead County Montana board orders closure of the Lower Squaw Creek road after a petition by Charles Miller and others. The meeting notes county merchants receive patronage regardless of compliance. Dr Louis F Molleur, 68, prominent Dillon physician, is found shot dead in his North Pacific street home. His wife had just left for the nearby fox farm. Coroner says no inquest. Molleur, Canadian native, educated at Montreal, practiced in the U.S. before moving to Montana about 36 years ago.

Gosman chaired the event. Coach James C. Harris spoke on courage and loyalty fostered by directed athletic programs. Coach Herbert P. Kakuske of the Normal college reviewed the past season and how ups and downs teach sporting spirit.

P. & O. Ranch Fire Causes Five Thousand Dollar Loss
A wind driven blaze at the Poindexter and Orr ranch destroyed a machine shed a large straw shed and nearly wiped out the barn estimated at 5000 dollars in damage. Volunteers from Dillon and nearby areas battled the fire after a probable short circuit started it. Ruth Gray who spotted the blaze alerted help and about 50 carloads joined the effort.
