Wilbur Outlines Interior Goals and Indian Ward Policy
Secretary Wilbur Yoday told President Hoover in the annual report that the interior department should draw down federal supervision of Indian wards as states assume responsibility. He urged continued cooperation on conservation health and education and warned that reclamation faces perils from criticism of new farm land addition and local pressure to repudiate obligations. The report notes Hoover Dam progress and eastern parks gains, stressing nonpolitical administration of the National Park Service.
