Stage is set for a four day harvest fest in Dillon combining the County Fair and Rodeo. Exhibits open Friday with amateur program and style show at 8 p.m. and a city hall dance. Saturday features arena events and six daily horse races through Sunday and Monday. The Labor Day parade follows at 11:00 a.m. with multiple bands and the Meaderville Fire department float.

Three Hurt in Wreck En Route to Jackson on Badger Pass
Three Salt Lake City men in a new Buick were injured when it left the road and rolled in a borrow pit near the Bannack turnoff on Badger Pass about 8 o clock Friday night. Most seriously William H. Mott, Salt Lake City GE manager, suffered brain concussion and back injuries but was moved to his home.

Dust free roads planned on Rife Street and Railroad avenue
Street and Water Commissioner Bert Megquier announced five blocks on Rife street and part of Railroad avenue will get a road salt surface treatment to curb dust. The method mixes salt into the dirt and rolls it to create a hard, moisture retaining crust that reduces dust by about 95 percent and resists washboard effects, at an estimated $30 per block. Work aims to finish before the Fair and Rodeo.

Livestock Auction at Beaverhead County Fair
The 4 H livestock sale at Beaverhead County Fairgrounds begins 9 00 a m Sunday September 2 at the Livestock Pavilion. H B Sager of Bozeman is auctioneer with about 43 head of beef 30 head of sheep and a few hogs to be sold. Animals will be judged graded and priced and lower grade cattle may be sold after the main sale.

Steps Planned to Clear Way for Clark Canyon Dam
Beav erhead Water Users Association spokesmen say Incorporation of the Clark Canyon Water Supply Company will be completed in a few days followed by land owner organization in the East Beach unit. This will clear the way for the Bureau of Reclamation to start construction. Legislation is being prepared to remove site ownershiprestrictions and enlarge ownership units on the beach. Engineer E. W. Rising of the State Water Conservation Board will travel to Butte September 7 to meet with Beaverhead directors and discuss Washington contacts for the project.

Dillon City Council Approves Levy and Water Pipe Contract
In a special meeting Mayor Phillip J. Lovell and officials approved final city tax levies totaling 48.25 mills with district sprinkling rates of 10 cents per foot in the business district and 5 cents in two residential areas. Hugulet and Pierce of Dillon won the contract to replace 1,900 feet of wooden pipe with 12 inch cast iron pipe at $1.69 per foot, the lowest of four bids. The project covers pipe transport, trench digging, air vents, washouts, inspections, and testing. Neil Sullivan of Butte was retained to survey a master drainage and street-improvement plan with paving specifications for the east Dillon area, to be completed by February 1, 1957.

John Gregovich 74 and Dillon Hotel proprietor died at 1:35 PM in Butte Community Memorial hospital from injuries after a two car crash near Brown's Bridge on U S Highway 91 August 17. He was passenger in a car driven by his son Mike 45 with three other Dillon residents hurt. Funeral from Sherman Reed Mortuary Butte proceeded to Holy Savior church for requiem high mass and burial in Holy Cross cemetery. The Madison County crash occurred where the highway and Union Pacific railroad run parallel along the Big Hole river about one mile north of Brown's Bridge.
