B H Paul Victim of Cutting Affray in Monida
A cutting affray in Monida last Saturday night left B H Paul, a prominent Southern Montana businessman, seriously wounded after a paint clash in a saloon. George Walker, a saloon worker, allegedly struck Paul with a knife four inches long, with doctors and local officials moving the suspect to safety and care for Paul.

Mrs B O Fournier in Seattle reports the death of B A Fournier a Big Hole basin pioneer and longtime Jackson merchant after stomach illness and surgery. Funeral held at St Patrick's in Butte with Sheriff Duke Gist and County Attorney Melton as pallbearers. Born in Montreal the 60 year old French Canadian mined in Nevada and the Comstock district before settling in Jackson in 1877. He ran a ranch cattle business started a Jackson store in 1898 and moved to Seattle about a month ago to seek treatment leaving an estate of around 40000 to his widow Marie Cartier with no children.
