Primary Election Set for Beaverhead County on August 29
Beaverhead County prepares for the August 29 primary with 23 precincts and polls from noon to 7 pm. About 3,287 voters are eligible as Dillon hosts two-ticket ballots featuring 34 Republican and 31 Democratic candidates, with three contests for county commissioner, sheriff, and schools superintendent. Earlier, five Dillon residents were arrested for liquor violations. others faced charges of unlawful liquor sales and moonshine transport.

Thirty people ride in a large aeroplane owned by William Morris used to promote Vico Oils. Pilot Andy Anderson, with acrobat Van Breez and Mogul Munson, landed near Hank Mikkelson ranch east of Dillon. Morning stunts inspired many to take a flight, including 13 year old Marcella Humphrey.
