Montana college instructors take leaves as fall term opens
Three Montana State Normal college instructors will be absent when the college fall term begins September 29. Miss Shotwell and Miss Ragon receive a year's leave of absence with Miss Shotwell to study at Columbia University and Miss Ragon to tour the Orient. Miss Hyde will teach at Iowa State Teachers College.

Eaverhead county students return from summer break as Beaverhead county high school and the Normal college training school plan to open on Monday September 8. The training school retains most instructors while Emma Bauer Golden of North Dakota fills the primary supervisor post left by Elizabeth Shotwell. All school buildings have been renovated in preparation for the fall term and enrollment rules are set by Superintendent Charles Henry with grade admissions based on December 1 age.

Men Held in Dillon May Be Robbers
Two men detained on suspicion of robbing the Dubois Idaho post office early last week were arrested by county officers. They gave names Albert Coleman and Melrose Letsner and are held at the county jail after refusing to accompany Sheriff Harry Raynor back to Dubois without extradition papers. Sheriff Raynor identified articles found in their possession.

Alleged Tenday Slayer To Be Charged With First Degree Murder
UEB CARBALLO, arrested by Salt Lake City officers, will face first degree murder charges in Dillon once extradition papers arrive. Mrs. Teagat Tendoy identified him as one of two Mexicans who killed Chief George Tendoy near Lima on June 23. Authorities questioned Tendoy's widow and Fort Hall officials in Lima and prepared extradition steps.

County Mineral Display Largest at State Fair
Baverhead county showcased the largest mineral display at the Montana state fair in Helena last week. William Logan and Roy B. Herndon prepared the exhibit under Beaverhead Mining Association. nearly all members contributed ores. The collection spanned this county’s districts and minerals, including a volcanic ash carving of an empress leading the prospector to riches by A. T. Crossley of Birch Creek. None Blamed No One In Boxer Fatality At Sun Night
Miles Sencio, 21 year old Filipino boxer from Butte, died at Barrett hospital about 6 15 Sunday morning from a fractured skull ruled accidental after a bout with Wege O Leary at city hall the night before. Dr George L Routledge autopsy Sunday afternoon found the fracture was caused by the fall on the ring floor. The fight had been even until the 10th round when Sencio was knocked down three times and fell backward.
