Men search Yellowstone surpluses for five grizzly bears ordered by the park superintendent from Washington. A 1911 Montana act amends section 840 to require a written petition signed by at least ten parents or guardians of census children aged six to twenty one, residing beyond two miles from any school. Notices must be posted publicly, hearings held, and only districts with at least ten thousand dollars assessed value proceed. An appeal process and repeal of conflicting acts are outlined. Approved March 3, 1911.
