Hold-Up at the Silver Dollar Bar in Center Street
The Silver Dollar bar on Center Street was robbed at about 1 AM Saturday. Proprietor John Dolan was forced at gunpoint to empty the register, then escorted two blocks away to surrender his purse and a watch and chain. He was warned to vanish for 15 minutes before reporting to police. about $500 remained in the safe.

Dillon residents plan to attend the Madison county fair at Twin Bridges for three days starting September 14. Former mayor L A Thompson promotes the event and a Boston & Montana band from Butte is to attend. South Omaha reports weekly receipts with cattle at 26,516, hogs 33,363, and sheep 53,193, compared to 24,818, 48,670, and 51,565 last week. Year prior totals were 23,949 cattle, 39,885 hogs, and 66,717 sheep. Demand from packers and shippers remains keen with limited corn-fed stock.
