Methodist Leaders Gather for Montana Conference Week
The Montana Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal church meets in Grace church starting Tuesday August 15 at 8 30 p m. Bishop David H Moore presides with speakers Dr E M Randall James M King and Dr A B Leonard among notable attendees. Proceedings include Sunday sermon by Bishop Moore and talks by Montana pastors educators and church leaders continued on Page Eight.

Summer term at district court opens with Judge Callaway
The summer term began last Monday under Judge Callaway. Most business is expected to finish by Friday noon, with no jury present. Several probate matters and bonds for county commissioners were handled, with numerous cases dismissed or continued. Bail amounts set in several criminal cases and many demurrers and amendments addressed. The court will set ready cases for November trial and adjourn thereafter.

The millinery shop formerly run by Mr. A M Gilberg has new owners, the Misses Rabb and Rieff. Rabb hails from Butte and Rief from Chicago, both praised as expert milliners. They plan store improvements and will offer a full line of up-to-date hats, with an order placed for fall styles arriving soon. Mrs Gilberg will move to her home in Butte.

Anton Erhardt Dies in Dillon After Five Month Illness
Anton Erhardt renowned Argenta mining man died in Dillon last Friday evening from dropsy after a five to six month illness. Born April 27 1862 in Wuerttemberg Germany he came to America in 1887, mined in Colorado, moved to Argenta in 1891 and stayed as a resident and part owner of several claims. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Odd Fellows hall with Rev A A Luce preaching and burial at Mountain View cemetery.
