John Laden Hip Break From Bronco Ride At Dillon Ranch
John A. Laden about 40 suffered a broken left hip when thrown from a broncho he was breaking to ride at his ranch six miles south of Dillon last Saturday night. He received treatment at Barrett hospital Saturday night and was later moved to Community Memorial hospital in Butte by Beaverhead Ambulance on Sunday.

Poultry Clinic for County Fair Exhibits
A clinic for poultry raisers planning to exhibit at the County Fair will be held Monday afternoon August 12 at the Dils on Veterinary Hospital. Margaret Bryan Glen superintendent of the poultry division and authorized staff will issue vaccination and inspection certificates. Sanitation laws require proper inspection and vaccination before entry. The clinic costs ten cents per bird through cooperation of the Veterinary Hospital and the County Extension Service.

Lloyd Thomas, newly sworn Beaverhead county sheriff, announces W A Pete Biden becomes undersheriff and Jack B Rott Dillon replaces Eiden as deputy sheriff and radio operator. Ranch Worker Killed in Rifle Accident at Wise River
George Stelzner, 62, Beaverhead County ranch worker, was fatally shot by a .22 caliber bullet fired accidentally by Neil Clay, 25, as Stelzner rested in his bunk at Ralph Potts ranch near Wise River. Sheriff and coroner conducted an informal hearing. death ruled accidental and no inquest.
