Church Site Sold To Methodist Church In 1877
The tract in Bannack was bought from the Trask family for 50 dollars and deeded to the Methodist church on Nov 12 1877 at 7 30 PM with no restrictions forever. Rev W W Van Orsdal built and funded the church as part of the Dillon Virginia City Bannack circuit where he preached in bar rooms and other spaces. He led services and sang songs Diamonds in the Rough Palms of Victory Harvest Time.
