Death claims two well known young Dillon residents
Two prominent Dillon youths died last week Loretta Julien aged nine at Murray hospital Butte and Virginia Bulger at her Dillon home. Loretta suffered a left hand injury that festering infection led to death after transfer to Butte. Virginia Bulger died after a long illness at her Orr Street home and was laid to rest in Burlington Iowa with her father Hugh Bulger and sister Helen accompanying. Virginia had worked as a secretary at the Normal college and leaves parents Frank Bulger and Mrs Charlotte Ballard and siblings.

About 300 people gathered at Digmont park for the Dillon Rotary club Charter Night celebration. Speakers from Butte Anaconda Missoula Deer Lodge and other Montana clubs lauded the new Dillon group as the youngest Rotary club in the state. Two Major Ranch Deals Closed In Local Area
Last Friday Wilson and Burden sold Maiden Creek ranch on Horse Prairie to E. W. Smith and Walter Dansie of Salt Lake City for about a hundred thousand dollars. The deal includes over three thousand deeded acres, three bands of sheep and around six hundred cattle and horses. Smith previously ran a Kemmerer Wyoming sheep ranch. Dansie led the Ed Kenison ranch in Sheep Creek basin and will manage the new holdings. In the same week Robert Duff sold his Centennial valley cattle ranch to Joseph Buck, price not disclosed, covering several hundred acres and cattle.

Fred Viel disposed of his Dillon grocery to J. H. Dickey of Hamilton. The new owner took possession yesterday. Viel keeps the Deer Lodge store and runs the Salmon City shop. Dickey, a Bitter Root valley grocer, will partner with his son, a fellow Montana businessman.

Pheasant Shipment From Oregon Reaches Local Farms
