Stockgrowers Convene Near Great Falls 39th Annual Meet Ends
The Montana Stockgrowers Association wrapped up its 39th annual convention in Great Falls with record attendance and a mood of renewed optimism. Officers were elected: C. M. Simpson president, Roy Cleary first vice president, H. O. Selway second vice president, with Great Falls chosen as next meeting site. Speakers urged better beef quality, marketing reforms, rail service, and opposition to grazing fee hikes. Governor Dixon sent best wishes. John T. Caine III urged hard work to restore prosperity in the livestock industry.

Doctor Opens Door to Face Pair of Bandits
A Los Angeles paper reports Dr. L. A. Miller a former well known resident of the city was held up at his home 4259 Dalton Avenue. Two unmasked men with guns demanded surrender and robbed him of a diamond ring valued at 1500 dollars and 75 dollars in cash.

Harold Binney Convicted of Fraud in Butte Trial
The Montana jury found Harold J Binney guilty of obtaining money under false pretenses a felony and sentenced him to three to six years in the penitentiary. Judge Lynch will pronounce formal sentence on May 3. Binney showed distress upon verdict and planned to move for a new trial.

Dillon Mourns Edwin L Norris Former Governor Dead
Edwin L Norris former Dillon resident and state governor died suddenly at his Great Falls home from a cerebral hemorrhage. His funeral was held in Great Falls with many Dillon attendees and a long list of honorary pallbearers. Remains were sent to Bowling Green Kentucky for interment. Norris born August 15 1865 in Cumberland County Kentucky.

Infant Son Dies in Butte
John Burke infant son of Mr and Mrs Dave Burke of Dell died in Butte last Wednesday. Funeral by Rev Father Leonard in Butte, remains taken to Lima for burial. The child nearly eleven months old had measles that progressed to spinal meningitis. Survived by three brothers and three sisters.
