Beaverhead County ends its beef feeding season with about one million dollars paid to feeders. Three quarters of the total, roughly 750000, goes to Big Hole basin feeders while Centennial, Beaverhead, and Horse Prairie valleys receive the rest. Cattlemen shipped about 15000 head from the Basin at strong prices, with Link Kennedy of Fryde Bruhn Co. the top buyer in Seattle. Shipments moved mainly to Seattle and Tacoma, with most stock sold on ranch or to meat buyers.
