April Horse Sale Brings About Sixty Thousand Dollars
About $60,000 in value was generated from 800 horses sold at Dillon's April sale held last Thursday and Friday. The average price was $76 with top bids up to $252 and lows around $17.60. George Ditty sold many horses while Sanders & Ladue bought the top lot from him. O H Schwartz of Big Sandy led buyers. The sale drew buyers from Miles City Big Sandy Idaho Falls and Dillon. A carload of bulls was sold outside the ring by Anderson brothers. ER Z Mark of Billings led the auction with Ditty and the local crowd generating strong competition and ongoing interest in Dillon as a premier western horse market.

Dick Wadams Dies After Long Illness in Lima
Richard Wadams a rugged pioneer from Bannack and Bedrock river rancher died at his sister’s home in Lima after a prolonged pneumonia. Born August 4 1852 in Wadam's Grove Illinois he traveled with his family to Colorado then Bannack and later settled on the Bedrock river. He married Mary Maynard on July 17 1897 and is survived by his mother sisters and a brother in Idaho Wyoming. Funeral took place at two o'clock last Sunday in Lima.

Fire Destroys Frame Home on North Washington Street
A blaze this afternoon originated from a faulty cooking range and rapidly destroyed a two room frame building on North Washington Street owned by Mrs. George Howard. Occupants Mr. and Mrs. San Warr lost all personal property and furnishings. Firemen arrived 20 minutes after discovery and, aided by chemicals and water, contained the flames. a rear shed also burned.
