Ajax mine to be bonded for one million dollars
A. J. Noyes says the Ajax mine will be bonded for at least a million dollars with about 600,000 shares to be issued for development. Recent 17-day run yielded a $2,400 clean-up, the best yet, while ore and concentrates valued into thousands move through the mill high in the Rockies near Swamp Creek. The project plans include a 7,000 foot tramway and expanded mill facilities, with spring work reviving employment after winter slowdowns.

Newsy Notes From Big Hole Basin
Miss Amanda Peterson left for Dillon to receive instruction in music and other branches. J. W. Moran returned from Butte after buying beef cattle for the Silver Bow Meat Co. Postmaster B. B. Lawrence brought in a four foot ten and a half inch white owl to town near the post office. The Modern Woodmen of America in Beaverhead county plan a log rolling in Wisdom this summer or fall. Several Ajax mill workers were laid off this week. A 2200 clean up followed a 17 day run at the mine, with Messia Ducharmb and Padden praised. New stamps will be added to the mill and a wire cable stretched from the mine to the mill. The Northern Pacific filed land selections of more than 60 000 acres at Kalispell.
