Blow-out on Twin Bridges Triggers Truck Collision
A left front tire blowout on the Twin Bridges road north of Dillon caused two truck and trailer units to collide while passing. Five people were treated for injuries. no one was hospitalized. Vehicles sustained an estimated ten to fifteen thousand dollars in damage.

Elizabeth Orr of Dillon has been elected state secretary of the National Student Educational Association at the MEA Delegate Assembly. Western delegates Correne Jonasen Verna Marie Jenkins and Blair Ricks also attended. The Voovil celebration is set for Friday night May 10 with planning by Professor Joe C. Ryburn and student body president Joel Doohan. A parade is planned for Vadvil afternoon.

Rural Fire Truck Quenches Blaze On US 91
Dillon Rural Fire truck and crew extinguished a car fire started at the fuel pump on US 91. Driver John Griffis and passenger Robert Sturm were near Anaconda when smoke and flames erupted two miles north of Dillon. Firemen noted 25 curious drivers blocked the highway, causing traffic hazard. minor radiator hose and fan belt casualties.
