Organizations Serve Schools PTO and PTA History
Parent-Teacher organizations have long operated with schools and were reactivated as a PTA in 1955 with Mrs. Norman Goodwin as president and other officers named. In 1961 the group split into high school and elementary divisions with member organizations contributing representation. The high school PTO honors scholars at an annual banquet and offers senior gifts, while beef cattlemen events have funded the group's activities.
